TAG 2025 @ W&M is excited to announce the Call for Session Proposals and Paper Abstracts.  

The theme for TAG WM will be Gather. Listen. Engage. Working with and for others inspires research ideas and is a critical element of today’s archaeological practice. Our host committee encourages conference participants to contribute work that reflects upon, challenges, and expands community and collaborative archaeology.

We also invite invite contributions that address the relationship between our theoretical frameworks, empirical methods, and engaged and collaborative practice. Our conference format welcomes a range of sessions, including individual and group paper presentations, roundtable discussions, workshops, and performance art. Please indicate whether your session is closed or open. If it is closed, please provide the names of the participants and their preliminary paper/presentation titles. If your session is open, the TAG W&M committee will populate it as we receive additional individual submissions. Please note that closed sessions are subject to change based on time restraints and the volume of individual submissions.  

Photographs of human remains and funerary objects are prohibited in conference presentations. We encourage presenters whose work deals directly with human remains and/or funerary objects to omit or thoroughly censor photographs of these materials. If you feel that you are unable to comply with this standard, please contact the conference organizers at tagwilliamsburg2025@gmail.com. Exceptions may be granted in rare cases at the discretion of the TAG 2025 committee.
